2014 Dalrymple Swansea Single Site Pinot Noir

Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges showing impressive depth with a dark red hue. Intense ripe dark cherry and strawberry aromas are overlaid by some spicy anise with meaty characters, earth and lightly smoked cedar ensuing. Light to medium weight the palate is generously endowed with rich spicy dark cherry and dark strawberry flavours which intermix with anise, notions of dried meats, toasty cedar and spice. Slightly dryish but finely grained tannins provide the framework. Excellent power wave with a long ripe dark cherry, strawberry, anise, toasty cedar, dried meats and spicy earth aftertaste.

Good depth and hue to the colour; Interesting wine; has the most supple mid-palate of the three Dalrymple Pinots, and also has a positive juicy finish and aftertaste of black cherry and plum. Drink by 2027.
