Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark crimson hue. Perfumed aromatics of violets tied to ripe dark cherries, plums and strawberries overlay infusions of anise, toasty cedar and a subtle stalkiness with spicy dried herb end notes. Possessing good richness and a fleshy mouthfeel the palate dishes up flavours of spicy dark cherries and strawberries over anise, toasty cedar and subtle dried herbs. Relatively supple with finely grained tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of dark cherries, strawberries, spicy anise, toasty cedar and earthy dried herb infusions.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 13%

Other Reviews….
The fruit intensity in Tasmanian pinot noir is one of its many charms, and it's in abundance here, heightened by the whole bunches up to 40% in the ferment, aged in French oak barriques, 40% new. A melange of cranberry juice, stewed rhubarb and damson plums, fleshy and juicy on the palate; wood spice, fennel and wood smoke add to the complexity, with the fine natural acidity keeping the plump tannins in place. Drink by 2027.
