2014 Dal Zotto Sangiovese

Semi translucent dark red colour with a light brick red hue. The nose displays aromas of sweet red cherries intermixed with dried cherries and dried herbs followed by some faint leather and spicy vanillin cedar. Ripe red cherry and strawberry jam flavours fill the palate with nuances of faint earth and spicy vanillin cedar also present. Soft supple mouthfeel with low acidity and largely undetectable velvety tannins. Aftertaste of ripe cherries, strawberry and spicy vanillin cedar. The fruit is a little too candied and as a result of the low acidity this will need drinking asap.
