2014 Clarence House Estate Reserve Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark red colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of violets intermixed with red cherries and a hint of sour cherries are overlaid by dried herbs with spicy cedar end notes. Light to medium weight flavours of spicy red to dark cherries intertwined with hints of sour cherries and dried herbs are followed by some spicy cedar. Supple mouthfeel with velvet smooth well integrated tannins. Aftertaste of spicy dark and red cherries, dried herb infusions and spicy cedar. A savoury, supplely textured Pinot but without the drive expected at this price point.
