Other Reviews...
The Château Lalande-Borie 2014 is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc that will be matured for 12 months in 30% new oak. It has a slightly high-toned bouquet with small dark cherries and cold stone scents, perhaps not quite as complex as the Fourcas-Borie. The palate is medium-bodied, a little coarse on the entry although there is fine acidity. I find the tannins a little more refined on the Fourcas-Borie this year, though there is a pleasant saline tang on the finish. Perhaps it will merit a more favorable evaluation after bottling. Drink 2018-2028.

Fine density of supple, ripe St-Julien fruit, quite meaty but elegant and impressive.

Lots of oyster shell and iodine and currant character with seaweed. Full to medium body, an excellent center palate and a long finish. Fantastic.
