Totally opaque midnight black dark red colour with a dark red black tinged hue. Very pronounced aromatics with ripe blackcurrant, mulberry and black olive scents leading the way over cedary tobacco characters, hints of bay leaf and spicy dried herb end notes. Showing excellent concentration the palate is awash with rich blackcurrant and mulberry fruit flavours whilst staying within the confines of the varieties trademark refinement and finesse. Ensuing are notions of cedary tobacco characters, traces of black olives and spicy dried herbs. Finely grained tannins yet robust in structure. Long aftertaste of blackcurrant, mulberries, cedary tobacco infusions, subtle black olive and spicy dried herbs.
Cellar 8-10 years.
Alc. 14%

Other Reviews…
Includes 15% merlot. Another excellent wine with neatly compact flavours and definition. Beautiful tannin structure, the palate silky and refined, the cassis, the oak, the spices all dutifully playing their part. Drink by 2035.
