2014 Brick Kiln The Grove Single Vineyard Shiraz

Matured in French oak hogsheads (50% new). Impenetrable inky black colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Elevated aromas of black cherries and liquorice are infused with blackpepper followed by toasty vanillin cedar, hints of dried meats and black olives. Rich concentrated flavours of succulent blackberries and liquorice fill the mouth over a back drop of toasty cedar, dried meats and blackpepper. Very fine grained almost velvet like tannins have a rock like sturdiness to them. Long peppery aftertaste of blackberries, liquorice, toasty cedar and dried meats.
Cellar 6-8 years.
