Grapefruit and tangy pineapple near the core lend a Riesling-like cast to this bright bottling, an impression strikingly complemented by hints of resin. As with the corresponding Am Berg, Grüner Veltliner-typical notes—notably celery root and cress—emerge as one works the wine around in the mouth. At the same time, there are mango-like tropical leanings. Lean though slightly oily in feel, this finishes with vibratory if tart and slightly rustically piquant intensity.
