Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Aromas of nectarine and subtle white peach are intermixed with dried honey and light cashew followed by spicy grapefruit end notes. Light weight and very elegant the palate has delicate flavours of grapefruit and nectarine intermixed with traces of dried honey over a lightly toasted cashew and spice background. Clean dry finish with bright acidity. Aftertaste of grapefruit, nectarine, traces of honeysuckle, light cashew and spice. A light, fresh, texturally lean style of Chardonnay that seems to be all the rage of the critics at the moment.
Cellar 4-5 years.
Alc 13%

Other reviews….
P58 (82%) and Mendoza clones. The Yarra Valley and the skill of contract maker David Bicknell have (unsurprisingly) produced a chardonnay of very high quality (I wonder why only one gold at the Melbourne Wine Show '14, and a silver at the National Wine Show) with its gloriously racy and long palate that sets all the taste buds jumping with its matrix of citrus and stone fruits, oak a mere conveyance. Drink by 2025.
