2013 William Downie Yarra Valley Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark crimson red colour with a light crimson hue. Vivid violet top notes intermix with ripe dark cherries and strawberries over a background of cedar, light earth and spice. Light in weight the palate has flavours of ripe cherries and strawberries followed by some meaty cedar, a touch of earth and spice. Very fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of cherries, strawberries, cedar, dried meats and spice. The most elegant of the Downie Pinots.
