2013 Voyager Estate Girt By Sea Cabernet Merlot

A blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot and 11% Shiraz that’s been matured for 12 months in a combination of old and new, French and American oak. Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Aromas of ripe blackcurrants and mulberries are overlaid by vanillin cedar and tobacco followed by hints of spicy black olive and bay leaf. Medium bodied with good richness, initial ripe blackcurrant and mulberry flavours are overlaid by spicy vanillin cedar with infusions of tobacco and subtle black olives also present. Elegant mouthfeel with very well integrated fine grained tannins. Medium to long blackcurrant, mulberry, vanillin cedar, tobacco and spice aftertaste.
