Good depth of colour with a very dark red black tinged core and a dark red hue. The nose displays lifted aromas of ripe dark cherries and plum followed by some toasty cedar and spice. Medium bodied and relatively weighty for the varietal, the palate features flavours of rich ripe dark cherries and plum over some inky earth like characters and spicy cedar. Slightly dryish but fine grained tannins. Good depth with a medium to long aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, plum, earth and spicy cedar.
Cellar 3-4 years.
Alc 13.5%

Other reviews....

Two clones from two Mornington Peninsula vineyards; extended maceration, matured in used French oak. Excellent crimson hue; overflows with black cherry and plum fruit, but has the under carriage to make light of its depth of flavour, which is strongly varietal; mouthfeel/texture and length are also very good. An outrageous bargain. Drink to 2025.
