2013 Torbreck The Pict Mataro

Impenetrable midnight black colour with a very deep dark red black tinged hue. Hedonistic aromas of liquorice and dark plums are intermixed with some ripe black cherry and dark chocolate scents with underlying earthy vanillin cedar and meaty spice notes. Full bodied, rich, supplely textured and very concentrated the palate is awash with decadent flavours of liquorice, ripe black cherries and dark plum followed by hints of dark chocolate, vanillin cedar and earth with a spicy finish. Plush velvety tannins. Superb power and richness with a long conclusion of spicy liquorice, ripe black cherries, dark plum, vanillin cedar, subtle earth and dried meats.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
