2013 Torbreck Descendant Shiraz Viognier

Superb colour saturation displaying an impenetrable midnight black core with a very deep dark purple black hue. Heady aromas of liquorice, dark plums and dark chocolate blossom from the glass with spicy dried apricot and vanillin oak scents following on. Decadently rich with a voluptuous textural feel the palate is drenched with ripe dark plum, liquorice and black cherry flavours with vanillin cedar and traces of dried apricot also present over a very spicy finish. Satin like tannins. Outstanding concentration finishing very long and powerful with an aftertaste of ripe dark plums, liquorice, blackberries, chocolatey vanillin oak and spice.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
