With its superb fruit purity, concentration and depth this could well evolve into a near perfect example of Barossa Shiraz in years to come.

The superlatives for this outstanding rendition of Barossa Shiraz start from the moment the wine is poured into the glass. It has a super saturated glass staining inky black colour with an equally deep very dark purple black hue. Seductive aromas of dark plum, ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark chocolate engulf the olfactory senses with nuances of black cherries, vanillin cedar and spice also present. Rich, supplely textured and powerful, yet with an air of refinement about it the palate is drenched with flavours of ripe dark plums, blackberries, liquorice and subtle dark chocolates over a background of light mocha and spicy vanillin cedar. Velvet smooth, yet structurally firm tannins finishing with a very long aftertaste of dark plums, blackberries, liquorice, dark chocolate, vanillin cedar and spice.
Cellar 8-10 years.
