2013 The Graillot Project Syrah No. 2

Opaque dark purple black colour with a dark purple hue. Lifted blackberry and liquorice aromas are followed by some dark plum and meaty vanillin cedar with subtle pepper end notes. Medium weight, fresh and elegant the palate has flavours of blackberries, dark cherries and liquorice over vanillin cedar and an earthy minerality. Velvet smooth yet structural tannins. Aftertaste of blackberries, liquorice, vanillin cedar and earthy mineral. A fresh, elegant style of Heathcote Shiraz.
