2013 Teusner The Riebke Shiraz

Totally opaque inky black colour with a very deep dark purple black hue. The nose offers up ripe dark plum and blackberry aromas followed by some liquorice, subtlety toasted oak and spice. Full bodied the palate features succulent flavours of liquorice, blackberries and dark plums over some vanillin oak, light spice and pepper. Opulent round mouthfeel with some fresh acidity and slightly dryish but velvety tannins providing the backbone. Long aftertaste of blackberries, liquorice, vanillin oak and spicy pepper. A Barossa Shiraz with opulent plush fruit and a structured finish.
