A blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Shiraz aged for 20 months in 90% new French oak. Opaque dark red back colour with a dark red hue. Pronounced aromas of blackcurrant intermixed with black olives are followed by a trace of liquorice, cedary tobacco characters and spice. Medium to full bodied with a sense of firmness to the mid palate, blackcurrant with flashes of liquorice are the dominate force over some dark cherries, subtle black olive infusions, cedary tobacco characters and spicy dried herbs. Solidly built tannins provide the framework with an aftertaste of blackcurrant, subtle liquorice, black olive, cedary tobacco characters and spicy dried herbs.
Cellar 6-8 years.
Alc 14%

Other Reviews….
85/15% blend matured in all-French oak (90% new). The first thing you notice is the liveliness of it; the second is the easy-going complexity; third is the long chains of tannin. Tobacco and earth run through boysenberry and blackcurrant; smoky oak plays a subtle role. Drink by 2030.
