2013 T'Gallant Cape Schanck Pinot Noir

The fruit for this wine is sourced from Southern Victoria and Tasmania. Semi translucent very dark crimson red colour with light crimson purple tinted hue. On the nose toasty cedar aromas override dark cherry, dried meat and spice aromas. The palate has good textural qualities with a light to medium body but again the toasty oak is a little too prominent on the back palate. Ripe dark cherry and spicy dried meat flavours are to the fore. Velvet smooth tannins with aftertaste of toasty oak, dark cherries and spicy dried meats.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
