2013 Summerfield Merlot

Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. The nose displays good aromatic lift with scents of ripe mulberries and subtle blackcurrant infused with tobacco, scorched earth and spice. Ripe and supplely textured with good richness the palate possesses flavours of dark mulberries and blackcurrant followed by cedary tobacco characters, a touch of earth and spice. Finely grained velvet like tannins. Aftertaste of dark mulberries, subtle blackcurrant, cedary tobacco characters and spicy earth. A softly textured, flavoursome Merlot that’s drinking well now.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
