Magnificent colour saturation with paint like cling to the walls of the glass. Totally impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark purple black hue. Intense aromas of liquorice, black cherries and dark plum are overlaid by some bacon fat, vanillin cedar, subtle dried apricot and spice. Flamboyantly rich and showy the palate boasts a concentrated flavour profile of ripe dark plums, liquorice and blackberries with underlying nuances of vanillin cedar, subtle dark chocolate, dried apricot and spice. Expansive supplely textured mouthfeel with velvety, yet structured tannins. Very long succulent aftertaste of dark plum, liquorice, blackberries, subtle dried apricot and spicy vanillin cedar. Cellar 6-8 years.
