2013 Squitchy Lane Vineyard Cabernet Merlot

Matured in small oak barrels for 15 months. Opaque black crimson colour with a deep dark crimson red purple hue. The nose reveals youthful blackcurrant aromas alongside mulberry, cedary tobacco and inky earth like characters. Medium weight flavours of blackcurrant and mulberries are to the fore overlaying cedary tobacco characters and spice. Dryish finish with slightly firmish but balanced tannins. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, mulberry, cedary tobacco and spice.
