2013 Seabrook The Chairman Shiraz

Displays superb depth of colour with an impenetrable inky black core and a very deep dark red black hue. Pronounced ripe blackberry, liquorice and dark plum aromatics ascend from the glass followed by vanillin cedar, faint scorched earth and spicy pepper end notes. Full bodied, dense and chewy the palate is dominated by liquorice and aniseed flavours followed by some dark plum and luscious black cherry flavours over toasty vanillin cedar and tarry earth with a spicy pepper infused finish. A robust tannin structure asserts itself on the back palate providing a grippy feel. Excellent concentration and depth with a long chewy aftertaste of liquorice, aniseed, black cherries, vanillin cedar, tarry earth and spicy pepper.br> Cellar 6-8 years.
