Cellar: 5 - 6 Years (2020-2021)
ABV: 14.5%
Closure: Stelvin

A remarkable value priced Shiraz with fruit being sourced from predominately McLaren Vale (93%) and maturation taking place in a combination of new American, French & European oak along with some 1 year old oak. Vintage conditions for 2013 were exceptionally dry which lead to the earliest and quickest vintage in recent memory. Small crops from these drought conditions however resulted in wines with excellent colour, flavour and tannin.

Rockbare delivers the goods yet again with this very impressive Shiraz that’s overflowing with lashings of sumptuous fruit.

Magnificent colour displaying an impenetrable inky black core with a deep dark purple black hue. Intense aromatics of liquorice, blackberries, black cherries and plums bound from the glass followed by some vanillin oak and spice. Full bodied, rich and opulent the palate sings with perfectly ripened fruit. Outstanding concentration with mouthfilling flavours of liquorice, ripe blackberries and dark plum overlaying a backdrop vanillin oak and spice. Velvety but structural tannins combine with a rich textured personality. Very long liquorice, ripe blackberry, vanillin oak and spice aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
Alc 14.5%
