The 2013 is the first release of this wine sourced from Quealy's Tussie Mussie Vineyard at Merrricks North.  This sheltered, north facing vineyard on red clay loam is ideally positioned to take advantage of the mild Mornington Peninsula climate to yield fully ripened  fruit which produces a rich, opulent style of Pinot Gris. Hand-picked in late March 2013, the fruit was fermented in stainless steel using only the yeasts indigenous to the vineyard.  Regular lees stirring through and beyond ferment contributed to the texture and palate weight of the wine.

Brilliant pale straw colour with watery hue. The nose displays good intensity with ripe pear and ripe apple scents intermixed with some musk followed by confectionary and spice. Rich mouthfilling flavours of ripe pear and musk are to the fore with some underlying confectionary and a very spicy finish. Medium dry with almost luscious like textural qualities. Long aftertaste of ripe pear, musk and spice.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
Alc 13.5%
