2013 Patrick of Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Aged in a mixture of 60% American and 40% French oak barriques. Totally opaque black as night core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Lifted ripe blackcurrant aromas tinged with hints of liquorice and black olive rise from the glass followed by cedary tobacco characters and spice. Medium to full bodied with rich blackcurrant fruit dominate over some liquorice, cigar box, faint earthy black olive characters and spice. Slightly dryish, sturdy yet fine grained tannins. Concludes medium to long with a blackcurrant, subtle liquorice, earthy black olive and spicy cigar box aftertaste.
