2013 Ottelia Shiraz

Totally opaque black dark crimson red colour with a bright dark crimson purple hue. The nose offers up aromas of black cherries and liquorice with a toasty clove like overlay followed by some spice end notes. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses good richness and generosity with flavours of liquorice and ripe black cherries intermeshed with some clove and spicy vanillin oak. The acidity is a little fresh on the finish at this early stage of life and needs some time to come into balance. Very fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of black cherries, liquorice, clove and spicy vanillin oak.
Cellar 3-4 years.
