2013 Oakridge Merlot

Matured in French oak for 16 months with a total production of 150 dozen. Opaque dark red black colour with a bright purple red hue. A touch subdued at first the nose offers up aromas of mulberries and red currants intermixed with earthy tobacco and spicy cedar notes. Elegant and dry with a lean textural feel the palate has flavours of mulberries, blackcurrant, earthy cedar, tobacco leaf and spice. Dry chalky tannins. Modest aftertaste of mulberries, earthy cedar, tobacco leaf and spice. A very dry, earthy Merlot with a lean chalky finish.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc 13.2%
