2013 Nashwauk Shiraz

Sourced from vines aged between 30-40 years. Matured for 15 months in 20% new French oak with the balance in 3-4 year old barrels. Totally opaque inky black colour with a deep dark crimson red black hue. Lifted aromas of ripe black cherries, blackberries and liquorice dominate over some dried meats, vanillin cedar and spice. Large scaled with a rich structured mouthfeel that shows off its muscle the palate has flavours of black cherries, liquorice and black olives over a background of peppered dried meats and vanillin cedar. Dry, slightly chalky finish with a firmly built tannin structure. Aftertaste of black cherries, liquorice, dried meats, black olive and pepper.
