2013 Nashwauk Cabernet Sauvignon

Sourced from 33 year old vines and matured for 24 months in 30% new French oak barrels.

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a very deep dark red hue. Ripe blackcurrant top notes mingle with hints of mint, cedary tobacco characters, black olive and spice. Boldly flavoured palate with very ripe blackcurrant, almost cassis like flavours intermixed with liquorice and black cherries over spicy cedary tobacco characters. The finish is a little hot with firmly built but relatively fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of ripe blackcurrant, liquorice, black cherries and spicy cedary tobacco characters.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
