Semi translucent dark red black tinged colour with a dark crimson red hue. Subtlety perfumed with aromas of violets, dark ripe cherries and strawberries over a hint of anise, some game and spicy cedar. Rich, yet light in weight the palate possesses an explosive power wave that sails on long into the finish. Mouthfilling flavours of ripe dark cherries and strawberries dominate over nuances of anise, subtle earthy dried meats and spicy cedar. Very fine grained velvety tannins are perfectly integrated. Outstanding persistence with a very long aftertaste of ripe dark strawberries, delicate anise infusions, an earthy meatiness and spicy cedar. Seductive and powerful, this is an outstanding Mornington Pinot.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc 13.7%

Other Reviews….
Makes a stunning entrance and, excuse the hyperbole, leaves you breathless to the last sip. This is fundamentally undergrowthy and complex and yet the plushness and purity of fruit does all the seducing. Oak gives the fruit a quick embrace and kiss and sends it on its way. Persistent? Yes, very. Drink by 2026.
