2013 Matahiwi Estate Pinot Noir

Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Pronounced ripe dark cherry and dark plum aromas are to the fore followed by traces of anise, toasty oak and spice. Generously weighted the palate has mouthfilling flavours of dark plums and ripe dark cherries over some toasty cedar with a spicy finish. Velvety tannins. Good depth with an aftertaste of spicy dark plums, ripe dark cherries, subtle anise and toasty oak.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
