2013 Lucien Muzard & Fils Santenay Maladiere Premier Cru

Semi translucent dark red colour with black tinged edges and a light red hue. Fragrant aromas of red cherries intermixed with a dash of sour cherries are followed by stalky cedar, fresh herbs, earth and spice. Light in body but with a reasonably good power wave the elegantly textured palate features flavours of red cherries, strawberries and traces of sour cherries over a subtle meatiness, fresh herbs and spicy cedar. Dryish finish with bright acidity and an aftertaste of spice, red cherries, a hint of sour cherries, some meatiness, earthy cedar and fresh herb infusions.
