2013 Kilikanoon Mort's Block Riesling

Following on from the outstanding 2012 vintage, 2013 was another scintillating vintage in the Clare Valley. The long, cool and mostly dry conditions were perfectly scripted to create fruit driven, intensely flavoured Rieslings characterised by high natural acidities.

Brilliant very pale straw almost water like colour with watery hue. Showing good intensity lemon and lime notes are to the fore followed by some orange rind and mineral. Mouth watering lemon and lime flavours dominate the palate followed by orange rind with a steely mineral infused spine. Excellent concentration with fresh crunchy acidity. Long aftertaste of lemon, lime, orange rind and mineral.
Drink now or cellar 5-6 years (2013-2019)
