2013 Kalleske Merchant Cabernet Sauvignon

Totally opaque black crimson colour with a dark crimson black tinged hue. The nose displays ripe blackcurrant top notes intermixed with liquorice followed by some lightly toasted cedar, a hint of tobacco and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate is relatively tightly coiled with flavours of ripe blackcurrants, dark plums and a touch of liquorice over some cedar and spice. Dryish finish with firm tannins asserting their presence and giving the wine a dry chalky, grippy conclusion. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, dark plum and spicy cedar.
Cellar 5-6 years.
