This outstanding Pinot Noir has already won a string of trophies and gold medals including Best Red Wine of Show at the 2015 Tasmanian Wine Show. Matured for 15 months in French oak the fruit for Kelly’s Reserve is sourced from the middle 12 rows of the vineyard which have had their trellising system modified to reduce the yields as much as possible and in turn produce fruit with greater concentration.

A powerful and imposing Pinot Noir that’s bursting with intensely concentrated fruit

Semi translucent bright dark red colour with a dark crimson red hue showing excellent depth. Perfumed scents of violets, dark ripe cherries, dark plum and anise waft from the glass with underlying notes of lightly toasted cedar, meatiness and spice following. Rich and intensely flavoured the palate boasts a magnificent power wave of flavour that goes on and on. Superb fruit purity with ripe dark cherries, dark plum and anise flooding the palate over some emerging meaty game like characters, subtlety toasted oak and a spicy finish. Supplely textured mouthfeel and velvet smooth tannins finishing with an exceptionally long aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, dark plums, subtle anise, toasty cedar, dried meats and spice.
Cellar 6-8 years.
