2013 Home Hill Estate Pinot Noir

Deliciously savoury, perfectly balanced and long in flavour, this is yet another magnificent Pinot from Home Hill.

Semi translucent very dark crimson red colour with a crimson red hue. Perfumed aromas of violets intermixed with dark cherries and a hint of strawberry arise from the glass followed by some anise, gamey meat like characters and spice. Light to medium weight the palate possesses wonderful richness and a textural suppleness with mouthfilling flavours of ripe dark cherries and plums interlaced with some subtle anise over a backdrop of spicy cedar and a delicate meatiness. Velvet smooth tannins. Superb power wave finishing with a very long and persistent aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, plum, anise and spicy cedar.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
