2013 Harewood Estate Cabernet Merlot

Matured in French oak for 18 months. Opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Aromas of blackcurrant with some tobacco like infusions are overlaid by bay leaf followed by subtle black olive and spicy cedar. Medium to full bodied the palate is generously endowed with rich blackcurrant flavours. Nuances of cedary cigar box, bay leaf and spice are also evident. Fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spicy blackcurrant, dark chocolate, cedary tobacco characters and faint bay leaf infusions. A ripe, fuller style of Cabernet Merlot.
