2013 Glen Eldon Kicking Back Cabernet Shiraz

Totally opaque inky black core with a very deep dark red black hue. The nose exhibits aromas of black plum, dried cherries and a hint of chocolate bullets with spice end notes. Full bodied and very rich the palate is filled with black plum, cassis and liquorice flavours followed by vanillin cedar and some spicy dried fruit characters which indicate drinking sooner rather than later is desirable. The fruit a touch too ripe. Opulent mouthfeel with fine grained tannins that have an underlying sturdiness. Aftertaste of black plum, liquorice, vanillin cedar and subtle dried fruits.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
