This seductive blend is composed of 69% Shiraz and 31% Grenache. The Shiraz component gives the wine backbone, flesh and body whilst the Grenache adds a soft vibrant juiciness. The fruit was sourced from vines varying in age between 60 and 110 years old and the resulting wine was matured in a combination of 2-3 year old French (80%) and American (20%) oak hogsheads for a period of 16 months.

An Outstanding Wallace that’s rich, seductive and packed with flavour without being too heavy.

Opaque black dark crimson colour with a dark crimson red hue. Perfumed aromas of dark ripe raspberries and plum are followed by some liquorice, vanillin confectionary and spice. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses rich succulent flavours of ripe blackberries, dark plums and dark raspberries over a background of liquorice and spicy vanillin cedar. Excellent depth with an opulent mouthfeel offset by some fresh acidity on the finish. Velvet smooth tannins with a long conclusion of liquorice, dark raspberry and spicy vanillin confectionary.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
