2013 Glaetzer Dixon Mon Pere Shiraz

Opaque dark purple black colour with a dark purple red hue. Superb nose of ripe dark plums and liquorice intermixed with complexing clove like characters followed by incense, lightly smoked cedar and subtle blackpepper end notes. Supplely textured the medium to full bodied palate is filled with generous dark plum and liquorice flavours infused with incense followed by some smoky cedar, subtle meatiness and blackpepper. Very polished velvet smooth tannins. Long dark plum, liquorice, incense, subtle smoky cedar, dried meats and pepper aftertaste. Will develop into a very refined and savoury cool climate Shiraz.
