Trophy winner for Champion wine at Langhorne Creek Show. Totally opaque black purple colour with a dark purple hue. The nose features aromas of liquorice and blackberry over some toasty vanillin oak and spicy pepper. Medium to full bodied the palate boasts rich opulent flavours of liquorice, blackberries and dark plums over toasty vanillin oak with a spicy peppered finish. The tannins are quite robust yet appear velvet like due to the opulence of the fruit. Long liquorice, blackberry, toasty vanillin oak and spicy pepper aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc 14.6%

Other Reviews.....
A jungle of ripe, sweet berries comes dressed in a well-cut suit. This lays on full-bodied flavour, all saturated plum and mint, before turning tidy and respectable on the finish, mostly courtesy of fine-grained, well-positioned tannin. The value bells are ringing. Drink by 2022.
