Semi translucent bright dark crimson colour with a light purple crimson hue. The nose shows excellent intensity with scents of violets intermixed with ripe dark cherries and dark plum followed by a hint of anise, toasty cedar and spice. Concentrated, powerful and moreish, yet still light on its feet the palate boasts a mouthfilling flavour profile of ripe dark cherries, dark plum and strawberry over a background of subtle anise, some meatiness, light toast and spicy cedar. Superb power wave with super fine grained tannins and a long persistent aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, plum, subtle meatiness and spicy cedar.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc 13.5%

Other Reviews....
Bright, deep and clear crimson; the bouquet is very fragrant, the palate brimming with plum and red and black cherry fruit, yet retains a fluid grace. A worthy successor to the acclaimed trophy-winning '12. Drink by 2023.
