Certified organic. Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red purple hue. Lifted blackcurrant and subtle violet scents emerge from the glass followed by some dark cherry, light cedary tobacco characters and spice. Medium weight with excellent richness and an elegant, yet firmish textural feel the palate features blackcurrant and dark cherry flavours over a background of cedary tobacco characters, subtle dried herbs, faint earth and spice. Dryish finish with fine grained but firm, solidly built tannins. Long blackcurrant, dark cherry, subtle dried herbs, cedary tobacco and spice aftertaste.
Cellar 6-8 years.
It's like watching the perfectly executed pass, the bolt towards the try-line thereafter inevitable. This attacks with blackberry/blackcurrant/dark chocolate flavour and then spreads and runs and swooshes in to a lengthy finish. Look up at the scoreboard, and bask in its glory. Drink by 2035.
