Felton Road wines has some of the world’s southernmost planted vineyards which experience the lowest rainfall and temperatures of any agricultural region in New Zealand. The Bannockburn Pinot Noir is a one third blend from each of Felton Roads three vineyards located in this Central Otago sub region with maturation taking place in French oak for 11 months.

Arguably Central Otago’s leading producer of Pinot Noir.

Semi translucent dark crimson purple colour with a bright crimson red hue. Attractive scents of violets, dark cherries and a hint of anise greet the nose followed by some gamey dried meat like characters and light spicy cedar. Light to medium weight the palate possesses a youthful but rich flavour profile of ripe dark cherries and strawberries followed by a touch of anise with some spicy cedar and dried meats in the background. Excellent power wave with supplely textured velvet like tannins. Long aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, strawberry, subtle anise and spicy cedar.
Cellar 6-8 years.
Alc 13.5%
