2013 Fattoria di Bagnolo Chianti Colli Fiorentini

Composed of predominately Sangiovese this Chianti also includes a small portion of Colorino and Merlot with maturation taking place French oak for 6 months.

Deep dark red black tinged colour with a bright dark red hue. Fragrant aromas of ripe dark cherries and dried herbs emerge from the glass followed by some meaty cedar like characters and spicy lightly scorched earth end notes. Light to medium weight with a soft fleshy mouthfeel and good savouriness, the palate features flavours of ripe dark cherries, subtle dried meats, lightly scorched earth and spice. Slightly dryish finish with very fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, earthy cedar, dried meats and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
