2013 Eldredge RL Cabernet Sauvignon

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Shiraz aged in American and French oak. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red black hue. Pronounced aromas of ripe blackcurrant, liquorice and more subtle dark chocolate notes emanate from the glass followed by some earthiness and spicy vanillin cedar. Full bodied with a chewy robust structure, rich ripe blackcurrant flavours are to the fore with some dark choc mint also present over a background of spicy vanillin cedar and some earthiness. Chewy finish with firmly built tannins holding everything in place. Excellent concentration and depth with a long conclusion of ripe blackcurrant, choc mint, spicy vanillin cedar and some earthiness.
