2013 Elderton Greenock One Shiraz

Outstanding colour with an impenetrable inky black core and a very deep dark purple black hue. Liquorice, blackberry and black cherry aromas are overlaid by smoky cedar with delicate dried meat and pepper scents following. Medium to full bodied and tightly structured the palate has an underlying richness with flavours of blackberries, liquorice and subtle black cherries intermingling with smoky cedar, dried meats and blackpepper. Dryish finish with slightly chalky but fine grained tannins. Relatively tightly knit at this stage of its evolution the wine finishes with a long aftertaste of blackberry, liquorice, black cherries, dried meats, smoky cedar and pepper.
