2013 Domaine Les Aphillanthes 3 Cepages Cotes du Rhone Villages

An equal parts blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre. Totally opaque black dark purple colour with a dark purple red hue. The nose shows good aromatic lift with scents of liquorice, black raspberries and black cherries over incense and dried meats with peppery end notes. Verging on being full bodied the palate is bursting with richness delivering mouthfilling flavours of spicy liquorice, black cherries and black raspberries over a meaty background and a peppered finish. Excellent length with a slightly chewy, solidly built tannin structure. Long peppered aftertaste of liquorice, black cherries, dried meats and spice.
