The fruit for this superb Tassie Sauvignon Blanc was sourced from 3 sites, with the majority coming from the Tamar Valley and smaller amounts from the Coal Valley and Pipers River. To maximise complexity each parcel of fruit was harvested and fermented separately with a range of yeast strains and lees contact. Additionally a small portion was fermented in old French oak barriques to provide texture.

Brilliant very pale straw colour with a greenish tinge around the edges and a watery hue. The nose shows very good intensity with gooseberry top notes intermixed with some passionfruit overlaid by some light herbaceousness and citrus end notes. Deliciously refreshing the palate delivers passionfruit and ripe gooseberry flavours followed by some more subtle herbaceous grassy characters with citrus and mineral on the back palate. Excellent concentration. Clean crisp finish with long passionfruit, gooseberry, herbaceous grassy citrus and mineral aftertaste.
Drink over the next 1-2 years (2014-2016).
Alc 12.5%
